cut, sew, done. I whipped out this adorable kimono Monday morning. I have been chomping at the bit to try this little pattern out but never thought I had enough time to set a side. Turned out to be a super quick project. It took all of 2 hours from unfolding the fabric to taking the photo. Most likely will take anyone else 45 minutes but I tend to measure over and over because I am highly aware of my less than stellar mathematical skills. The pattern is one of the best illustrated and written patterns I have used. Love it!
You can find the pattern at Habitual. (look for tutorial link)
You can make your own rug-rat one. The pattern is free but has usage restrictions, you may not sell the kimonos. ** The pattern also gives measurements for infant, toddler and child sizes.
I foresee lots of kimonos, pictures of Kate in kimonos, and possible and Carrie sized kimono in the future.
