while everyone was off in Europe or away at the beach for Spring Break I had the privilege to photograph some amazing young adults. AMAZING. each with their own spin on life and plans for the future. the drive home from each session had me thinking about what a huge page these kids are turning in their life. (oh my, I just referred to them as kids. am i really at that point in my life? i think i am)

what a privilege to document then in their moment. to capture their faces still young and hopeful. I pray for them wisdom and for their parents peace of mind... and for me to cherish my own four year old's moments because graduation day will be here before I know it.

last weekend i got a client on top of the roof of a very old motel. thankful he is married to my cousin and i am pretty sure he wouldn't have sued me if he fell...well at least i hope not.

it's all good though, because he didn't fall. despite the cold fog and rain!

Kate is loving them so much that she is now rapping everything and she wants headphones to wear like Mote. i am so glad she has a fantastic appreciation for music.

Better yet we have had some great conversation based around the words on the tracks...like "who's eyes and I keeping on?" and "where should i go when I die?" and "whats goodwill, mom?"

september has been a busy little transition month for me.

The biggest thing that changed was kate going to pre-school five days a week. This was a huge change from her being at home 24/7 through the summer. notice my last post was Sept 5th, I think...yep she started school a few days later.  I think the sudden freedom of it all was a little overwhelming. I tackled a huge list of "This has to wait until Kate is in school " things. Between catching up on project and To Do Lists I also shot an amazing wedding, hosted meet-ups & Photo-walks for other photographers, and met with a few future brides. It's amazing what you can cram into 5 hours of adult time a day.

kate is thrilled to be at school and challenging her teacher every step of the way. Sometimes I have to remind myself that's why i have her in preschool - to help her grow her people skills and respecting different types of authority....let's just she testing those boundaries.

Now that life is settling down I hope to be-able to share more photo excursions and sessions...

wedding preview should be up SOON so keep your eyes peeled.

also the holidays are around the corner and my beautiful gift certificates just arrived in the mail. I'll preview those this week too!

For now I am going to un plug myself for a n hour and go shoot some plant life.

here is the bridal session i have been wanting to share with you all for weeks now.  I had a fantastic with this session and I can now say I that I have been "held at gun point'!
